Loc Ninh, April 1999
Team XIII, comprised of 6 American veterans, departed for Viêt Nam for project work in Loc Ninh on 18 April, 1999.
The project will be at the Social Care Centre in Loc Ninh, the site of 1997′s project.
The plan is to assist in the construction of a building that will be used for vocational training. The Centre’s plan is to focus on computer training for youth throughout Binh Phuoc Province as well as children residing at the Centre.
The VVRP will provide a Team of veterans to assist in the completion of the project. East Meets West (another U.S. non-governmental organization) and the Loc Ninh Rubber Company will provide funding. On-going administrative responsibilities will belong to the Binh Phuoc Department of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs.
